i really do work in student ministries...

yes, it's true. i do. i've been denying it for a few months now, but i really think i have reached the benchmark in my journey towards student ministries. here are my reasons in ascending order...

5. my new love of sporting equipment. give me some nerf products, inner tubes, and some duct tape and i'm there. we can spend entire meetings discussing sporting equipment and games - and i think nothing of it anymore.

4. i know about hannah montanna and miley cyrus. (they are the same person...did you know?) yeah, i actually had one parent come up to me and say that her daughter thought i was cool cause i mentioned hannah montanna. is it weird that i have base knowledge about this? maybe, but i'm okay with it.

3. i have eaten more pizza in the past few months than in my entire life. it doesn't matter if you have an adult meeting, a student small group, or an event at the church. the number one item on the menu is - you guessed it - pizza. this past week i actually convinced a high school senior that i took a class called "how to throw the best pizza party ever" at college. dense, maybe - funny though, huh? i acually have the pizza place programmed in my phone.

2. i purchased video games. i never thought this would happen in my life. i mean, i actually grew up not being allowed to play with video games, but recently i have purchased my first system. i got a cheap used PS2 on ebay for 70 bucks and it came wiht a few games. needless to say - guitar hero is my favorite!

1. this last weekend i ran a lock-in at church. it's true. i am offically in the youth ministry club. it took a few days to recover, but the church stayed in tact and our volunteers are back to normal.

i am done denying that i work in student ministries. i mean, look at this list? i am so there...
