i've been thinking about people and their value.
god really does value people more than anything. a friend challenged me this weekend. he basically said that god cares more about our relationships with each other than he does about worshipping and going to church. i have been thinking about this. check it out in matthew 5:23,24. it says
23 So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you,
24leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
sometimes we get our priorities so messed up. we think god really cares about what we look like when we're "worshipping" or how often we come to church or how much we serve in the body of christ. this passage says the god's priorites are so different than the way we live. god would rather you fix the broken relationships in your life than keep serving and lifting up different sacrifices to him. that's huge to me! this definitely shows the priorities of the father.
as we grow to be more like christ may our priorities align with his.
